    Worth the work!

I never expected my cat to sit on the couch after all my work, but he absolutely loves it. He sits on it every day and I makes me so incredibly happy. Worth the work for my fickle feline 🐈.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: What are the couch cushion gussets?

    1 Answer

A: The gussets were to make the cushions deeper like as for human couches. However, the gussets were in the original iteration of the Cat Couch pattern only. We have since updated the pattern for accuracy and encourage you to work from the version of the pattern dated January 3, 2025. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Q: Is the measurements for the base of couch correct? It says 80 inches, that's over 6 ft long but the diagram doesn't show it.

    1 Answer

A: Thank you for your interest in this pattern! There seems to be some confusion about the couch's base measurements. The correct measurement for the base is 80 inches. This length describes a continuous panel that goes around all the sides of the couch. The diagram may not show this clearly, as it focuses on the overall design. However, the 80-inch measurement accurately represents the base as one panel that wraps around the entire structure. To break it down, the 80 inches account for the total length of the four sides of the base: 16 + 24 + 16 + 24 inches. This is the continuous panel that surrounds all four sides of the couch.

Q: For the row right after the 12 slip stitch row for part A of the cushion.. when it says "Ch 1. 1 sc in first dc. *1 dc in next sc. 1 sc in next dc. Rep from * to end of row. Turn." Is the end of the row the 33 stitches after the ch2 from previous row?

    1 Answer

A: Thank you for your interest in this pattern. You are correct! After that row, there should be 33 stitches before the ch2 from the previous row.

Q: Base of Couch I was wondering what the full dimensions of the base of the couch is. I know its 80in long but how wide. The yarn I am using doesn't match the stitch count and I have been having to measure the chains to get the right size on everything.

    1 Answer

A: Thank you for your interest in this pattern. The dimensions of the couch base are 80 inches wide and 4 inches long.

Q: Where can you find the foam needed to make the couch?

    1 Answer

A: As we do not carry any of the extra items we use on our patterns (i.e., buttons, zippers, purse handles, buckles, rings, hats, sweaters, display items, etc.), please refer to your local craft stores such as Walmart, JoAnn, Michael’s, etc. This allows you to individualize your project.

Q: In the Base of Couch part of the instructions it says "Rep last 2 rows until work from beg measures 80" [203 cms]". This doesn't seem right as this would be taller than my 6'4" spouse. if this isn't correct what are the right measurements?

    1 Answer

A: The base of your Crochet Kitty Couch is indeed 80 inches. The piece you crochet will wrap around the bottom which is 16" across each side and 24" across the front and back. If we add the numbers together, we get 16+16+24+24 = 80" Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have additional questions.

    1 Answer

A: If the said dog is the same size as a cat or smaller, yes, they can fit this cat couch.
