Carrying an OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 label means that our yarns and threads have passed the highest standard of product safety testing, making them suitable for direct contact with the most sensitive skin, even babies and small children. Each certified product has been tested by independent laboratories for over 1,000 harmful substances and verified to be free of harmful levels of irritants, allergens, and carcinogens. The testing process evaluates things like heavy metals, formaldehyde, pesticides, and hundreds of other potentially harmful chemicals. Testing criteria are updated at least once a year as new research or regulatory requirements come out. Our OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified yarns and threads are listed as Class 1 products in the testing criteria. This specifically includes any products designed for babies and has the strictest requirements for certification. Learn more about the OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 testing criteria from OEKO-TEX® directly.
