Seems out of sinc with the blocked pattern. Can’t see from pic what chest area is like
a month ago1 AnswerA: To clarify, is this question referring to the Paton Knit Canine Checks pattern? Change to larger needles and proceed as follows: 1st row: (RS). With MC, K4 (8-7-3-3). Work 1st row of Panel Pat. With MC, K4 (8-7-3-3). 2nd row: With MC, P4 (8-7-3-3). Work 2nd row of Panel Pat. With MC, P4 (8-7- 3-3). Assuming this is where you are referring to with your question, you will begin the first row by knitting with the MC: K4 (8-7-3-3) as per the size you are making. You will end the first row with the MC: K4 (8-7-3-3) as per the size you are making. You will also begin and end the 2nd row the same. You are correct that the MC is used for the increases. These increased stitches will be on the chest of the dog and will not interrupt the rest of the pattern. Happy knitting!
a month agoHelpful?Q: Hi, I am currently working this patter and am having difficulty figuring out how or if the panel pat connects to the neck part that I make by 1x1 ribbing. I currently have the 1x1 ribbing on smaller needles and panel pat on larger ones. I'm lost
a year ago1 AnswerA: The first page of the Canine Checks pattern informs the knitter how the panel pattern will be worked. The actual cast on for the knitting begins on page 2 of the pattern, beginning with the ribbing. After you have completed the ribbing, you will change to larger needles and begin the panel pattern using the stitches you have on the needles from the ribbing. I hope this gives you a clearer understanding of the pattern structure. Please let us know if you need further assistance.
