a year agoThis shawl is beautiful. however, I am grateful to the first reviewer because this is my first time trying to follow a pattern and I thought I was just unable to do that lol... so thanks to the first reviewer! as a beginner in following a pattern, I struggled with a few things (thought it was just a learning curve). something that really confused me is that it only says to turn your work once at the end of the first row - aren't we supposed to turn at the end of every row? I am looking for another pattern. this says its easy... I didn't find it so.No, I do not recommend this product.

We do our best to set the level correctly; thank you for letting us know you did not find this pattern easy. You are correct about turning your work at the end of every row. I have reviewed the details of the Crochet Prayer Shawl, and each step includes an instruction to turn at the end, sometimes followed by a stitch count. We appreciate that you took the time to share your experience. Don't hesitate to reach out again. We are here to help!Cheyenne WY1 out of 5 stars.Dimensions are off
a year agoIf you look at the picture of this item, it definitely has more rows in the shawl than the instructions. For this reason the dimensions of the shawl are inaccurate and the shawl is smaller than it is supposed to be. Instructions seem to be missing at least three rows. If you follow these instructions and try to get gauge, it just won't happen. I almost went crazy trying to get the correct gauge for the shawl. The pattern itself is nice looking, but the inaccurate instructions could make this disappointing for a beginner to make. No, I do not recommend this product.
Helpful?Quality of Product, 1.0 out of 5Value of Product, 2.0 out of 5Response from Yarnspirations:a year agoConsumer CareThank you for your feedback regarding the Caron Crochet Prayer Shawl pattern. We have reviewed the pattern and there should be one more repeat of rows 4-6 worked for the shawl to match the measurements and the sample photo shown. We have sent this information to our design team for further review. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. -

Questions
Start typing your question and we'll check if it was already asked and answered.1 - 1 of 1 QuestionQ: I found a difference between the picture and the instructions. After the 6th row, it says to repeat rows 4, 5, & 6, 4 times. I think it should be 5 times, which will give the 7 rows of openwork and the correct number of scallops on the edging as shown.
a year ago1 AnswerA: You are correct. The Prayer shawl pictured in the photograph is not the same as the shawl described in the pattern. As you mention, the shawl in the picture has one more repeat of Rows 4-6 before working Row 4 one more time, then working the border. Thank you so much for bringing these inconsistencies to our attention. We will be forwarding this information on to our design team.
