I'm sure you agree with me that one of the nicest things about crocheting your own cowl is that you can use any yarn and any color that you please. So when Salena Baca did this easy crochet cowl pattern we were not sure which yarn to use to please the most people. So we asked her to do the same pattern in 3 different yarns “ Red Heart Soft, Boutique Treasure and Boutique Unforgettable. And we chose colors that were as different as we could. We used neutral Greyscale for the Soft cowl Muted Watercolors for the Boutique Treasure cowl. Bright, colorful Parrot for the Boutique Unforgettable cowl. p> The three patterns have small variations in the number of stitches in the beginning chain and the number of rows varies. But they all use the same hdc stitch pattern with every other row worked in the back loop and then alternate rows worked through the front loop. Hopefully seeing the same stitch in different colors and yarns will help you know which will fit into your own life and wardrobe best. Or if you are like me, some days you feel like being bright and other days you might want to fade into the background. Don't they say variety is the spice of life? I'm thinking this is the perfect go to pattern for gifts. I can make it in a number of different yarns and colors! No fitting problems. Perfect gift!
