10 months agoI have knitted since a child. The free instructions are very confusing for the heel. Definitely not basic for a beginner. I have many Paton yarn sweater pattern that I have knitted without problem. I'm very disappointed. No, I do not recommend this product.

Please email inquire@yarnspirations.com with your pattern name and specific questions, and we will get back to you as quickly as possible. Knitting heels in a sock can be a challenge, especially if not used to doing so. This type of heel has you working a heel flap, then a heel turn and finally a gusset. The heel flap is knit flat back and forth until the height of the heel is sufficient for the person's arch. As most sock patterns it is written for someone with normal arches. Someone with a flat feet would not need as many rows, and someone with really high arches, may need more rows. The heel turn helps move the stitches from going across the back of the heel, to going under the foot. Then the gusset picks up stitches on the side of the heel flap to add to the stitches of the heel turn, and starts working in the round again. The gusset continues as the stitches are decreased back down to the original number of stitches for the sock. If you decide to pick them up again, there are also many tutorials on YouTube for sock construction. -
