a year agoI downloaded this and found errors in the pattern. After I checked the Q&A here I realized others had the same question almost a year ago and Yarnspirations said they would update the pattern. They haven't updated it with the corrections. No, I do not recommend this product.

In the meantime, we have sent you an email with a copy of the updated pattern so you can finish your project.WisconsinSkill LevelExperienced3 out of 5 stars.Very easy to follow until
2 years agoThe pattern is easy to follow until you get to the front and have to make the v part. If you are right handed this will be no problem for you but as a leftie I had make some adjustments which resulted in some problems. You have to do the opposite so in the pattern the left v neck shaping is the right and the right v neck shaping is the left if you are left handed.Yes, I recommend this product.
Helpful?Clarity of Pattern, 3.0 out of 5Response from Yarnspirations:2 years agoConsumer CareThank you for your feedback regarding the Caron Chessboard Crochet Vest. As a fellow lefty, you are correct in which adjustments need to be made in order to be successful. However, these changes are not due to the pattern itself, but due to working in the opposite direction of the vast majority of crocheters and these adjustments will need to be accounted for in nearly every garment. I hope you enjoy your journey as I have mine. I think we are at an advantage with truly learning how stitches work to bring things together. Happy Crafting! -

Start typing your question and we'll check if it was already asked and answered.1 - 4 of 4 QuestionsQ: is this an AI generated pattern? has the new pattern been uploaded?
a year ago1 AnswerA: At this time, none of our patterns are AI generated. If you are concerned that the pattern is not the latest version, please email inquire@yarnspirations.com where we can confirm the pattern file and if necessary send you the latest file.
a year agoHelpful?Q: I see others have had the same question on the V neck shaping that I have. I just downloaded the pattern and it doesn't appear to be fixed yet. Can you point me to an updated version?
a year ago1 AnswerA: The updated pattern is not yet available. Once available, it will be uploaded to the site.
a year agoHelpful?Q: Working on front of large vest. Previous row left me with 60 stitches, but in the first row of left v neck shaping, it asks to create 28 stitches and then leave the other 28 stitches unworked. This doesn’t add up to 60? Is this my error or pattern error?
2 years ago1 AnswerA: Let's get you on track with the specific section you mention in this great vest! Yes, it is correct that you end your Front section with 60 sts, From this point you will not need to refer or 'add up to' this number anymore moving forward. As you begin the Divide for Left V-neck shaping, and after you finish the first row, you will end with 28 sts for your size Large, That count is only for the row you just completed. 2nd row of the divide is: Ch2. Pat to the last 3 sts. Hdc2tog over the next 2 sps between hdc. 1 hdc in the last st. (-1 st =27sts ) 3rd row: Ch 2. Hdc2tog over next 2 sps between hdc. Follow pattern to the last 3 sts. 1 hdc in the last st. (-2 sts =25 sts) *note there is a correction coming so you will Rep last two rows: 1(-1-1-1-2-2) time(s) more. Your size indicates to repeat those two rows once, leaving you with 22 sts. Skip the instructions that say: Next row: as 2nd row 19(19-22-23-24-26) You should already have 22 sts. Begin on the: Next row: RS- Ch 2. Pat to last 3 sts. Hdc2tog over next 2 sps between hdc. 1 hdc in last st. {In this row you minus 1 st) Next row: Ch2. Pat to end of the row. (Even sts) Repeat these last two rows until you have 12 sts remaining. continue your check pattern until your armhole measures 9", ending on a wrong side row and fasten off. Begin the Right V-neck shaping with the RS facing you, with a sl st in the directions as indicated. Your first row of this section, while not indicated on the pattern, should also end with 28sts. The changes on the left side written pattern need to also be used for the Right side. We apologize for the confusion but please rest assured that this pattern is being reviewed by the pattern department here at Yarnspirations. Also, please don't hesitate to contact us as you need assistance, together we will help you create this masterpiece!
2 years agoHelpful?Q: Possible mistake once you get to Divide for neck shaping. Stitch counts for left side don’t work after 3rd row. Keep getting 21stitches for Next Row not 19. Am I missing 2 decreases?
2 years ago1 AnswerA: Thank you for bringing this to our attention and we apologize for our late reply. Please stay tuned for an updated version to be posted, in the meantime, the pattern will be updated as follows: Rep last 2 rows 1 (1-1-1-2-2) time(s) more. 19 (19-22-23-24-26) sts rem. Next Row: Ch 2 pattern to end of row. Turn. Similarly, under the Right V neck shaping the pattern will also be updated: Rep last 2 rows 1 (1-1-1-2-2) time(s) more. 19 (19-22-23-24-26) sts rem. Next Row: Ch 2 pattern to end of row. Turn.
