a year agoLove this pattern. It's very easy to create but looks like an expensive throw. Another reviewer criticized the pattern in regard to the number of turning chains being incorrect. The slightest difference in stitch tension can cause you to change the number of turning chains you choose to use.Yes, I recommend this product.

Helpful?Clarity of Pattern, 5.0 out of 5Los Angeles, CA4 out of 5 stars.Interesting stitch but incorrect pattern!
a year agoVery interesting stitch to learn! The finished product looks great, BUT the I found the pattern to be incorrect. The number of turning stitches should be 2, not 3. I started with 3 and realized after several rows that the turning chain wasn't tight even though I was working with a steady gauge. When I switched to 2 turning chain stitches, the blanket developed a nice even shape from there on out. I still wish I had undone everything and started over, as my blanket bells out at the side where I started. Oh well.Helpful? -

5 months ago1 AnswerA: For your Seriously Snuggly Crochet Blanket in row 2, you should be doing a sc into all the stitches including the trfp, not just the dc. Here is a video that shows how to work this pattern. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGTFWeLKRi8 We will be passing on this information on to the design team for further review. 5 months agoHelpful?Q: How to do the trip stitch?
7 months ago1 AnswerA: Trfp is an abbreviation for Front Post Treble stitch. To execute a Trfp, follow these steps: yarn over (wrap the yarn around the hook) 2 times, then insert your hook from the front to the back to the front around the post of the next stitch. Next, yarn over and pull up a loop. After that, yarn over and pull through 2 loops on your hook a total of 3 times. 7 months agoHelpful?Q: Is there a baby pattern of this stitch (Seriously Snuggly)? I have purchase 3 Bernat Baby Velvet 10 oz skeins.
11 months ago1 AnswerA: Thank you for reaching out to us. Although there isn't a baby blanket pattern for this stitch, you can still use the stitch to create a blanket of any size. You may use any multiple of 4 plus 1 for your beginning chain. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.
11 months agoHelpful?Q: I’m unable to see the diamond pattern emerge in this blanket and I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. I’ve tried numerous times. At what row should the diamonds shapes be visible ?
a year ago1 AnswerA: You should see the diamond pattern emerge distinctly within the first 5 rows of the Bernat Seriously Snuggly Crochet Blanket pattern. Here is a quick tutorial video for the blanket. Hopefully, it will set you on the right path. https://youtu.be/BGTFWeLKRi8?si=WReRnEyJH1Wc4a9W
a year agoHelpful?Q: I want to use a smaller gage yarn, probably one that uses a 5.5mm hook. What should the chain be?
a year ago1 AnswerA: It's hard to know for sure but we would estimate approximately 175 chains to keep the width close to the 44". If you are willing to do a bit of experimenting you can determine a more exact number yourself. First, create a 5in X 5in gauge swatch using your preferred yarn in the pattern stitch, (using any odd number chain). You can start with a 5.5mm hook. If you find the swatch is too loose, make a new 5in X 5in swatch with a hook one size down to get a tighter fabric. If you find the swatch is too tight, make a new 5in X 5in swatch with a hook one size up to get a looser fabric. Keep creating swatches and adjusting the hook size until you get a fabric you like. Then, wash and dry the swatch as you would wash and dry the blanket you are planning to make. That way you will know if washing will cause the fabric to grow or shrink. After you’ve washed and dried the swatch, take a ruler and measure how many stitches you have in 4 inches, then divide that number by 4. This will give you your stitch gauge. Now, a little bit of math. You’ll take the number of stitches per inch, and multiply that number by how many inches you want the width of the blanket to be. That total is the number of stitches you will use for your starting chain. You’ll then work as many rows as you need to get to the length you want. Keep in mind that you might need more yarn depending on the size you want to make.
a year agoHelpful?Q: Directions Question:If I C-57, place my 1st DC in the 4th hole from the hook, how do I end up with 55 stitches? Are the numbers correct?
2 years ago1 AnswerA: For the Snuggly Crochet Blanket, in the first row You dc into the 4th chain. The turning chain is also counts as the first dc. Another way to think about it. You start with 57 chains. Double Crochet into the fourth chain ( that leaves 53). The new double crochet counts as one, and the three chains count as one. This gets you to 55 dc. 2 years agoHelpful?Q: How many skeins of blanket yarn do you need to make a 50x60 throw? And how many in the chain to start?
2 years ago1 AnswerA: It depends on your pattern, for the Bernat Hibernate Blanket for example, you need 6 of the 300g balls and the starting chain is 106. We hope this helps. https://www.yarnspirations.com/on/demandware.static/-/Sites-master-catalog-spinrite/default/dw1171d761/PDF/BRC0502-000983M.pdf
2 years agoHelpful?Q: I want to make this bigger. How many do I increase the chain?
2 years ago1 AnswerA: You can use any odd number that gets you your desired width keeping in mind every 5 stitches should give you approximately 4".
