3 months ago1 AnswerA: While we do not have a video for the border of the Diagonal Stripes Crochet Blanket, we do have a video that shows how to work post stitches, one of the elements of the border. The video shows working treble crochets, in sets of three. TO work your blanket, you will use double crochet, and alternate between the front and back posts every stitch as your work around the perimeter of the blanket. The video can be found at https://youtu.be/BOejOGR-roM We hope this is helpful. Please feel free to email us directly at inquire@yarnspirations.com if you have further questions.
3 months agoHelpful?Q: Can you use a different color for the raised sections?
10 months ago1 AnswerA: Absolutely! You have full creative control over your project, so feel free to make any modifications that align with your vision. When you work with 2 colors back and forth and you want to carry along the thread, then you just crochet around the thread you are not working with to carry it along. On the last stitch you make with one color, wait with the last pull-through and pull through with the new color of the following stitch. You can carry along a color by crocheting around it for as many stitches as you want, then when it is time to change, you just use it in the last pull-through and continue with that color. https://www.yarnspirations.com/blogs/how-to/video-y-crochet-fair-isle-colorwork-tips?_pos=1&_psq=crochet+colorwork&_ss=e&_v=1.0
10 months agoHelpful?Q: Round 1 of the border says 5 dc on corner. Should it be 3?
a year ago1 AnswerA: The pattern is correct, it is meant to be 5 dc in each corner on round one of the border. 3 will be a part of the corner in the next few rows and the other two will align along the side edges, as they should.
a year agoHelpful?Q: How would I modify this to make the blanket larger?
a year ago1 AnswerA: Great Question! To modify this to make it wider, add multiples of 15 on your cast on edge. If you are getting gauge, that would add 4" for each set of 15 to you add. So if you want it 20 inches wider, you would add 75 stitches. 20 inches / 4inches per 15 stiches = 5 sets of 15 stitches = 75 stitches. Hope you enjoy!
