Helpful?Quality of Product, 1.0 out of 5Value of Product, 1.0 out of 5Response from Yarnspirations:a month agoConsumer ServiceThank you for your feedback regarding the Flat Booties with Slip Stitch Trim pattern. The pattern is written for, and recommends, using Aunt Lydia’s Baby Shower Crochet Thread Size 3, which ends up being similar to a fingering weight yarn (or #1 Super Fine). Gauge is extremely important with this pattern in order for it to turn out correctly as is the correct thread/yarn so there isn’t too much bulk.1 out of 5 stars.Row count doesn't add up with picture
2 months agoGot 70% ish through this pattern before tearing it all out. The dimensions are all off to make a bootie that would fit on a foot. The sides are double-triple what is pictured, I counted. Once the toe and heel is sewn together it will be even shorter than you see in my pictures but it would be big enough around (once done) to fit around my fist. No, I do not recommend this product.
Helpful?Quality of Product, 1.0 out of 5Value of Product, 1.0 out of 5Response from Yarnspirations:a month agoConsumer CareThank you for your feedback regarding the Flat Booties with Slip Stitch Trim. The booties are each 45 rows: 18 per side and 9 for the top of the foot. The “side rows” are seamed at the bottom. Some of the side rows are for the sole and back of ankle. All of our patterns are written in US stitch terms (just in case this could be the issue). One last possibility. Did you match your gauge to the gauge of the pattern? It is imperative for this pattern that the stitches and rows match gauge for it to work out to the proper size. The original yarn called for in the pattern is a number 3, DK weight cotton. When you substitute, we encourage you to get as close of a match as possible. Gauge is as follows: GAUGE 22 sc and 24 rows = 4" [10 cm] We hope this information helps you along. Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback! -
