Mine keep coming out as a circle in the center and it looks different than the picture. Can you clarify how I make the "half" look to the hexagon? Thanks.
a month ago1 AnswerA: The Half Hexagons for the Happy Hexagon Throw will look more like circles until you get to that very last row, which is also the joining row. That is the row which will make the half-hexagon look exactly as it should. Let’s take a look at those instructions. We have broken them down below. Please note that the “current motif” is the one you’re forming now and the “adjacent motif” is the one you’re joining to. Row 4 (Joining row): Ch 1, turn; slip st in next ch-3 space, ch 3, with wrong sides of two Motifs together, slip st in corner ch-1 space on adjacent Motif, 2 dc in same space on current Motif, ch 1, *[slip st in next ch-1 space on adjacent Motif, ch 1, 3 dc in next ch-3 space on current Motif, ch 1] twice, slip st in corner ch-1 space on next adjacent Motif, ch 1, 3 dc in same space on current Motif, ch 1; repeat from * once more, slip st in next ch-1 space on adjacent Motif, ch 1, 3 dc in next ch-3 space on current Motif, ch 1, slip st in next ch-1 space on adjacent Motif, ch 1, 3 dc in last ch-3 space on current Motif, slip st in next corner ch-1 space on adjacent Motif; fasten off. We hope this breakdown has helped you!
