6 months agoThe pattern came over very cute! Seeing the other reviews I just knitted the face instead of duplicate stitching it which I think was the right callHelpful?Quality of Product, 5.0 out of 5Value of Product, 5.0 out of 53 out of 5 stars.Very disappointed.
a year agoVery cute idea but creating the face is a nightmare, as stated in the previous review. Loosening the stitches doesn't work well and the face created by the diagram is different from the picture shown. The black yarn is another issue...waited weeks, had to reorder on another site...took weeks. New mother that chose this pattern is eager to receive it! Loosening the stitches didn't work either. 😭☹️No, I do not recommend this product.
Helpful?Quality of Product, 3.0 out of 5Value of Product, 3.0 out of 5Response from Yarnspirations:a year agoConsumer CareThank you for your feedback regarding the Bernat Bear-y Cozy Knit Blanket. We have double-checked the chart against the sample and they are consistent with one another. If your knitting gauge does not match the gauge of the pattern, that will affect the appearance of the face. Gauge for the pattern is 8 stitches and 13 rows per 4-inches or 10 cm using Bernat Baby Blanket yarn. If your gauge is 8 stitches and 10 rows per 4-inches, the face will appear elongated. If your gauge is 6 stitches and 13 rows per 4 inches, it will appear too tight and narrow. We recommend checking your gauge and make adjustments from there. Please let us know if we can assist you further in the future. Have a great day!1 out of 5 stars.Zero stars!!!!!
a year agoThis is a horrible pattern!!! The black is thinner than the rest of the yarn so if you sew the black like it says you see the bottom colour even if you do 2 or 3 of the black! Only way to make it look good is to use black blanket yarn and knit it in the right place!!!No, I do not recommend this product.
Helpful?Response from Yarnspirations:a year agoConsumer CareThank you for your comments. We're so sorry you had such a disappointing experience with the pattern. We're passing your feedback along to the design team for consideration. If you're interested in continuing with the project using the yarn you have, you could consider loosening the duplicate stitches somewhat so they cover more area. Another option would be to use Black Bernat Blanket Yarn to do your duplicate stitches. Duplicate stitch always requires a little finessing so even with Blanket yarn, you may still need to adjust your tension on the duplicate stitches to get full coverage. Again, we apologize for any disappointment. -

a year ago1 AnswerA: Yes! You've got it. You'll do the face details in Duplicate Stitch (which is just stitching over top of your work with contrasting colors), FINISHING Following Chart II and using B, work duplicate st to embroider Eyes, Nose, and Mouth. Here is a guide to Duplicate Stitch: https://www.yarnspirations.com/guide-to-duplicate-stitch.html
