5 months agoI've made 4 items with this yarn: a blanket (one of my first knitting projects, which a frogged back into a the most amazingly draped shrug), a sweater (used smaller needles for a more sturdy weight garment) and most recently a 3/4 length hooded cape from a 1970's pattern book. I've used 4 different colorways, as well. This product gets 5 stars all day. To be fair, I haven't washed any item yet, so can't speak to that. But it's probably my leave costly yarn, I tend to go with hand dyed from small boutique yarn companies, but after 4 years of knitting, it might be the most pleasurable knit for me.Yes, I recommend this product.

5 months agoI made the most beautiful scarf out of it, its super comfy and cozy. It was super easy to crochet with to, I think it needs to be able to Handel being washed though.Yes, I recommend this product.

5 months agoI was excited to use this yarn for its colors and softness. The hat turned out beautifully, that is until I washed it according to the directions. It was a basic double thickness hat with a folded brim and after washing the inside of the hat was all matted which means the folded brim on the outside of the hat looks matted as well. I would not recommend this yarn or purchase it again.No, I do not recommend this product.

All Caron Cake products are exclusive at Michaels only and unfortunately, other stores do not offer these products. A number of the Cake products are seasonal. Some will return later this year, while some may not. The decision as to whether or not a product comes back is a decision made by Michaels. We are sorry to share that this colorway has been discontinued although the product line is still in production. We would like to assure you that extensive research goes into how well a colorway is selling before such a decision is made. We have checked our inventory and no longer have available stock to offer. You may wish to try to consider searching eBay.com, Etsy.com, and Amazon.com, as well as Ravelry stashes. Many sellers post our products for sale on those sites and inventory is updated frequently. The decision as to whether or not a Caron Cake product is made is a decision made by Michaels. For more details on the Caron Cake products, we encourage you to contact either your local Michaels store or their Head Office (1-800-642-4235) as they should have the most up-to-date information. Many of the colors in our multi-colored yarns are specific to that item, designed to be unique shades, and not offered as a standalone color. Unfortunately, the latte cakes does not have solids to coordinate.

Michaels does come out with new colors from time to time, so maybe that is a future color.
