    beautiful but quite a project

What a project! Its time consuming but creates an amazing final product. The crochet part goes quickly. Its the assembly part that is so time consuming. Instructions are easy to follow. However, didn't like the final product for the pillow. The spaces between the rows/colors doesn't look as neat as in this photo. I had to go back and stitch the rows together so you couldn't see the connecting yarn behind it. Maybe it was just the way I did it?

I love this pattern even though it was a bit too much to wrap my mind around as a beginner, but the instructions video was excellent!

I made one last year for X-mas and I am making another this year for my mom. It takes some getting used to but it's definitely worth it.

I have made this several tomes for different people. Made it larger than a throw one full size and one Queen size. It takes a while but absolutely love it.

    1 - 7 of 7 Questions

Q: Does it matter if the motifs are slightly different sizes?

    1 Answer

A: For your Peppermint Throw and Pillow Pattern, we suggest blocking the motifs before sewing them together. Blocking can help with getting each to a more consistent size. If blocking in new to you, here is a video that talks more about it. https://www.yarnspirations.com/blogs/how-to/video-mb-wet-blocking-and-steam-blocking-acrylic-yarn-video-11?_pos=1&_psq=blocking&_ss=e&_v=1.0 As long as you can lay out the pieces after blocking, you should be OK. Otherwise, you may want to remake some of the pieces working to get more consistent sizing.

    1 Answer

Q: Where to begin join with Peppermint throw, middle or corner

    1 Answer

A: The Peppermint Throw is such a fun project. It is really up to you as the maker to decide if you want to begin your joins at the middle or corner, whichever makes more sense to you! We would lay out all the pieces first and probably start at a corner. We would also suggest using a highlighter with the assembly diagram to make sure I am laying out all the pieces correctly.

Q: How many yards is used for the pillow only?

    1 Answer

A: Thank you for reaching out about the Peppermint Throw and Pillow. This is not information we have readily available. Calculating the amount of yarn needed for any project can be tricky. Sometimes you can make a smaller item, and use it's weight or unravel and measure the length to calculate the yardage of a finished piece.
