    I suck or it sucks.

This pattern seems wrong. I may have done it wrong, but I'm an intermediate knitter and so is my husband but I swear it makes 2 left mittens

No, I do not recommend this product.

    Consumer Service
The Heartland Knit Mittens are designed so that the left and right mittens are quite similar, and although the beginning of the gusset is moved over by a few stitches when working the left and right mittens, the shaping for both thumbs is done the same way, so both mittens are neutral with neither left or right specific instructions for the gusset and the thumb rows. Shifting how the mitten fits on your hand should help with the right one's feel. The biggest difference happens with the placement of the duplicate stitch that creates the half a heart on each side. The heart pattern row 1 will beg 3 sts to left of the first thumb gusset stitch, and the right mitten will mirror the location.
