10 months agoI found the pattern was hard to follow when you get to certain sections of the pattern. I would have to drop the pattern and watch the video to figure out how to finish the pattern. Which the video tells you how to correct the pattern. But I loved the guy in the video, he was great at explaining everything.Helpful?Response from Yarnspirations:10 months agoConsumer CareThank you so much for your feedback about the Bernat Striped Crochet Dog Coat. a year agoThis pattern is the worst written pattern I have ever seen, but it may just be me. I have been crocheting since I was 5 years old at my mothers knee and at present I'm 81 now and am having problems with a lot of my patterns that I have used for years. First and foremost, the pattern doesn't give a yarn weight, just lists Bernat super saver. I need to make a coat for a small dog and have tons of yarn remnants that I was going to use to clean up my craft room. The only other complaint I have is the directions in the pattern are not clear (or maybe it's just me) I am going to try this again with a little lighter weight yarn and see if that makes a difference. Thanks for the free patterns, even if I'm not smart enough any more to make heads or tails from the directions. No, I do not recommend this product.

Though the pattern doesn't state the weight of the yarn as worsted weight (#4), it does include a gauge of 14 dc and 8 rows = 4 ins [10 cm] with larger hook. If there are specific instructions that it would be helpful for you to have additional explanations, please, reach out again, and we will be happy to provide them. We would be more than happy to assist you with your pattern inquiry. Please send your details to inquire@yarnspirations.com and we will get back to you as quickly as possible. Questions
Start typing your question and we'll check if it was already asked and answered.1 - 2 of 2 QuestionsQ: I’d like to make this in bernat blanket yarn. How do I make the adjustments? And what size crochet hook should I use when using this yarn?
2 months ago1 AnswerA: The Bernat Blanket yarn ball band suggests using an 8 mm (US L -11) hook. You should be able to achieve a gauge of 7 stitches, 8 rows to 10 cm/4". You will want to check your own gauge, and with your numbers, you can adjust the Crochet Dog Coat pattern stitch and row counts for the new yarn. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide you with pattern details or are we able to provide support for the new pattern. We hope this gets you on your way. Happy crafting!
2 months agoHelpful?Q: Are the sizes given the measurement of the neck, middle or length of the dog coat?
4 months ago1 AnswerA: All sweater sizes are for chest measurement, whether child, adult or pet.
