2 years agoThis is the first blanket knit pattern that I have done and I love it! I am currently working on my second blanket for a friend with this pattern. It's super easy to follow and get into a rhythm with. I found a video on youtube as well to help explain things a little more and it was very helpful.Yes, I recommend this product.

Start typing your question and we'll check if it was already asked and answered.1 - 2 of 2 QuestionsQ: On rows 2 and 4, it says: K10. Purl to last 10 sts. K10. If these rows are supposed to be on the wrong side (row 1 is the right side), why do the directions say K10 while the chart says Knit on RS and Purl on WS?
a year ago1 AnswerA: Thank you for reaching out with your question about the Bernat Lacy Knit Baby Blanket pattern. This a beautiful and classic lace pattern! Please note for the written pattern, each of the row instructions include the verbiage for stitches needed for the border at the beginning and the end of the row. The chart does not include any border stitches, only the 10 stitches that make up a lace section. So if you choose to follow the chart, set up markers for your border stitches! The border is all done in stockinette! Just a suggestion, but I always recommend markers when starting a lacy pattern, so you can stay on pattern easily until you memorize the sequence of stitches. I hope that this helps you! We are here to help you be a happy knitter!
a year agoHelpful?Q: The next row after the 8 rows of garter stitch says: K10. *Kfb. K15.* Repeat from * to end of row. 180 stitches. After the last Kfb, there's only 5 stitches left before the end of the row, so I can't knit 15 stitches. Do I knit these 5 and move on?
a year ago1 AnswerA: Hello and thanks for reaching out! You shouldn't have any stitches left over since the increases are placed evenly. You have 170 stitches cast on and the increases use a total of 16 stitches (KFB, K15). Since you knit the first 10 stitches before beginning your increases that means you are increasing over a total of 160 stitches. 160/16= 10 I would undo the row and start it again. I would also place a marker every so often just to keep track or make notes. I will often write it out to look something like this just to make sure I don't miss anything: K10 (10 stitches total on right needle) KFB, K15 (+16) (26 stitches total) KFB, K15 (+16) (42 stitches total) KFB, K15 (+16) (58 stitches total) And so on. It seems fiddly but it lets me double check as I go. If I do end up making a mistake I can spot the exact portion and only have to go back to there vs undo an entire row. I hope this helps get you back on track!
