Q: Hello, I’m a beginner and the vest is looking great but I am starting the arm holes and on 9th row it says Working clockwise. What does this mean? Thank you!

    1 Answer

A: Working clockwise means moving in the same directions as a clock's hands, which is from the top to the right then down, and then to the left, and back to the top. We hope this helps you understand row 9 of the Wee Granny Vest, which is the beginning of the armhole shaping.

Q: Row 9 states to skip the chain 2 so and start the MC in the 3 and work across, that would be 7 granny stitches. However, when you get to a side, it says to do 10 across, the math does not add up?

A: Row 9 of the Wee Granny Vest pattern is the beginning of the armhole shaping. It starts at the underarm and goes around the corner, across the bottom, and back up to the opposite armhole. We have included a highlighted section of the diagram showing row 9 for you to compare to.

Q: The pattern instructions beginning with round 4 indicate a chain 2 then skip the next 3DC. But the chart on page 4 does not show a chain 2 and ski .so I'm confused. Can you clarify?
