4 days ago1 AnswerA: We sent the images directly to you.
2 days agoHelpful?Q: I’m lost when it comes to the hood. Approximately what should the final dimensions of the hood be?
9 days ago1 AnswerA: Unfortunately, the Crochet Baby Jacket with Hood pattern does not include a schematic with the dimensions for the hood. Due to the construction of the hood, we are unable to provide exact dimensions, especially because it is heavily reliant upon your gauge. However, we can provide additional construction details for the hood as well as a rough drawing of what the hood will be expected to look like. Please note: we have included a rough drawing of the hood as well as the shoulder seam to the halfway mark at the Back for clarity. The hood is constructed in rows beginning at the front, where the hood will be near the face in color A. Then, you will switch to the MC for the remainder of the hood and begin working the “Shape Neck Edges of Hood.” The edges of these rows will be sewn along the neck edge of the jacket later. After you have worked 6 rows of the shaping, you will place a marker at the beginning of the 6th row of shaping. This is your first marker. Now, you will work in a pattern without increasing or decreasing until the hood (from marker) measures the same as the jacket from the shoulder seam to the halfway mark at the Back (see second photo). Then, you will place markers at each end of that row. Now, you will “Shape the Back of the Hood. Once complete, you will fold the hood in half and seam the hood together between the marked rows. Then, you will sew the hood to the jacket along the neck edge, making sure to match the lines of the colors (color A and MC). Please refer to the sample photo for a visual. We hope this helps you with the construction of the hood.
6 days agoHelpful?Q: Sleeve illustration shows color change but instructions don’t indicate at what row that occurs. Shape back of hood instructions are confusing. If last row is repeated 7 times as instructed, 6 stitches are left unworked on each of those 7 rows?
2 months ago1 AnswerA: Thank you for reaching out for the Crochet Baby Jacket with Hood. Work the sleeves as you did the body instructions, with the color change happening in row 2. For the back of the hood, you are correct; the same stitches are left unworked for each of the 7 rows. This fabric forms a rectangle in the back of the hood.
