2 years agoI added colors and changed the pattern around the borders, but I replicated the central part of the motif with no issue. Love it!Yes, I recommend this product.

a year agoLove this pattern. I've done many squares in many colors. BUT- the Motif Border instructions after row 3 are incorrect. Also, a stitch count for each motif border row after row 1 would be helpful.Helpful?Response from Yarnspirations:a year agoConsumer CareThank you for your feedback regarding the Red Heart Aran Nosegay Crochet Throw. After Rnd 1 of the border, each Rnd increases by 8 sts (two at each corner), with the exception of Rnd 4. Rnd 2 = 186 Rnd 3 = 194 Rnd 4 is written such that the dc stitches cross over one another and is written correctly; it just requires some careful reading as it is an older pattern which doesn’t make the crossed stitches so obvious in the round. Rnd 4 (Right Side): Ch 3, dc in first st to the right, Repeat begins here (we have added bold for emphasis): * skip next st, dc in next st, ch 2, dc in skip st to the right; (this means dc into the skipped stitch) repeat from * around, working 3 sc in each corner, join with a slip st in first sc. Fasten off. I hope this clarifies the pattern for you and you’re on your way to enjoying your blanket! -

a year ago1 AnswerA: Thank you Beccy. Great job sorting it out. Just in case others have the same question: The stitch count for the ninth row of the Nosegay Crochet Throw pattern has 39 stitches like the row before. Here's how it breaks down: Ch 1, sc in first 16 sc, >>>16 stitches [Fpdc in next Fpdc, skip next sc of current row, sc in next 2 sc] 3 times, >> 3 st x3 =9 stitches total The fpdc does not count as a stitch sc in remaining 14 sc, turn >>>14 stitches Adding those together: 16+9+14 =39 stitches. We hope this clarifies things.
a year agoHelpful?Q: How many sts are in each square’s border round? There is a comment from Cust. Care in the reviews that mentions Rnd 2 should have 186 and Rnd 3 should have 194. However in my most recent post, Cust. Care said there should be 174 in Round 3. Pls help! :)
a year ago1 AnswerA: My profound apologies! I mistyped 174 without even realizing it. You should have 194 at the end of Round 3.
a year agoHelpful?Q: I was looking at one of the reviews that mentioned that Round 3 on the square should have 194 sts. Should this actually be 190? I agree that 8 sts are added between Rnd1 and Rnd2; however you’re dropping 4 sts for each of the corner bobble ch-1.
a year ago1 AnswerA: In Round 3 of the border for the Red Heart Aran Nosegay Crochet Throw pattern, the ch-1 spaces that are being skipped at each corner are the ch-1 after each Bobble is created. This is not considered a stitch in the stitch counts for the corners so you should have 174 sts at the end of Round 3 of the border. I hope this helps make sense of the stitch count here. Happy crocheting!
a year agoHelpful?Q: In Motif Border R4, how does the "ch2" between the dc fit? The pictures don't seem to have this step and also, every picture I've found seems to have extra motif border rows not included in this written pattern. Can someone explain please? Thank you
a year ago1 AnswerA: Thank you for your question on Rnd 4 of the Red Heart Aran Nosegay Crochet Blanket. You’re not seeing the ch 2 very well in the photo for two reasons: 1) The ch 2 crosses behind the dc stitch before it when working the next dc stitch. 2) This round is part of the seaming of the motifs. However, looking at the photos, one can definitely see spaces between the crossed dc stitches. The following is a great breakdown of Rnd 4, which emphasizes the crossed dc stitches with bold print. Rnd 4 is written such that the dc stitches cross over one another and is written correctly; it just requires some careful reading as it is an older pattern which doesn’t make the crossed stitches so obvious in the round. Fasten off. I hope this has helped shed some light on Rnd 4 of the motif border for you. Please let us know if you need further assistance.
