RatingLocale1 to 4 of 4 Reviews1 – 4 of 4 ReviewsHighest to Lowest Rating4 out of 5 stars.7 months agoI've always loved Susan Bates hooks. I prefer the pointy tip over flat or rounded. I would not call these ergonomic though. That's why they only get 4 starts from me, but I guess that is why they came out with the interchangeable model.Yes, I recommend this product.

10 months agoMuch better than just a plain ol' aluminum hook, but the rubber handle is still a little pointy for my taste. I hold my hooks in the "knife grip" so the end of the hook pokes my palm. I was trying these out to see how I like them, but I think I'll look for rounded ends in the future. I sure wish Bates still made the hooks with the bamboo ends!Yes, I recommend this product.

2 months agoI use this hook exclusively for dishcloths and now I hate making dishcloths. The hooks are way, way too long, they are not comfortable to hold, and there is no ergonomic-ness as the black grip is hard like a hockey puck. The hook itself is great because it keeps the gauge which makes a beautiful finished project. Cut these hooks in length so they are no longer than a Boye and use the same squishy ergo as the Boyes and you get 10 stars. I'm not kidding; I'll likely buy more of them and recommend them if you make them shorter and squishy-er.Helpful?Quality of Product, 2.0 out of 5Value of Product, 4.0 out of 5Response from Yarnspirations:2 months agoConsumer CareThank you so much for your feedback! We really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with the hook. We’re glad to hear that the hook's gauge and the finished project worked well for you, but we totally understand your concerns about the length and the grip. Your suggestions are fantastic, and we’ll definitely consider them for future designs. We want our products to be as comfortable and enjoyable as possible for everyone.Arizona2 out of 5 stars.Disappointing and not ergonomic at all
a year agoI'm disappointed by these hooks. I've wanted to try this brand because I've seen other crocheters say how much they like them. I wanted to upgrade from the cheap ones I started with. I gave a couple stars because the actual hook part is pretty nice. However the grip is neither soft nor ergonomic. The ergonomic part stops well sort of the flat grip part, which is the primary place it's needed. I missed it on the picture, but it stops just at the bottom of the bump in the cardboard packaging. Additionally there is little to no space between the grip and the hook making more complicated stitches with multiple loops on the hook difficult to manage. Especially for someone with mobility issues. Finally the ergonomic part is not at all soft. It feels like hard plastic. No, I do not recommend this product.
