a year agoI download this pattern a month ago and I just finished with it the pattern is beautiful but the size is very small for shawl. There's mistakes in the pattern and I like to inform the designer for correction and I would like to know how To expand on the pattern so I can make the shawl larger. This pattern is very small for shawl!! I wish I paid attention to the Measurement in the description I used size 7 needle And thicker yarn 199 yd / 3.85 oz 182 m / 110 g and still it's too small. 41" x 18". Please help I'm giving this shawl as a gift.Helpful?Response from Yarnspirations:a year agoConsumer CareHello- You include a few issues for the Bark River Knit Wrap, and I'd like to address each of these. 1. You mention mistakes in the pattern. If you could give details, we'd like to confirm and get them to the design team. Did you find mistakes in both the written and charted instructions? 2. As to making the shawl bigger, it is not quite as simple as adding a pattern repeat. You could use the chart and continue the existing pattern with increases and create your own extension. 3. Did you check your gauge before you started? Even though you used a larger needle and yarn, you may be a tighter knitter, and your finished results are close to the expectations of the pattern of 18 x 39. Sometimes an aggressive blocking of the final project can add additional length and width. I'm sorry this didn't yield the result you expected and am hoping some of this is helpful in getting your gift finished to your liking.
