4 years agoWhen I felt how soft this yarn was I knew the patterned afghan I wanted to make. I was right! It worked up nice. Warning though this yarn isn't the super bright colors most other yarns are. This is a softer more primitive type in color. It gives your blanket a more vintage farmhouse look. 4 years agoFirstly the shipping was very fast. I had my order just a few days after ordering it. The yarn is in one word 'comfy.' Super soft, squishy, warm and inviting. I didn't know what I was going to make with it when I ordered it. When it got here and I held it I knew I had to make a throw with it. I can see curling up with some hot apple cider and the throw on the couch on a cold and rainy day. 5 years agoThe Jadite color is the exact match for my Girl Scout Juniors! I have used this to make matching hats, headbands/earwarmers, and now I'm working on scarves for my troop. There is very little splitting, and it's nice and soft. My only complaint is that it's getting hard to find these days. 5 years agoRecently I was asked to make an afghan (the Peppermint Throw) and I wanted it soft but not so soft that it would be flimsy so I thought I'd try this variety and I LOVE IT! This yarn is soft and still has some bulk to it, something that has been hard to find. The colors are vibrant, another plus in my book! 5 years agoI am using With Love currently for two different crocheted squares afghans and have plans for a third, the Rainbow Views ripple. This yarn has a lovely soft feel to it but is also quite substantial and holds its shape well, perfect for these afghans. a year ago1 AnswerA: No. Although we are unable to match or source dye lots, we do have a few suggestions when someone is searching for a specific lot: 1. Return to the shop where you bought the yarn, bring your existing yarn and skein band, and compare/contrast to determine if they have the same lot available. If not, you can compare the yarn itself (especially next to windows/natural light) to look for any differences across lots. 2. Visit Etsy.com and eBay.com and search for the yarn you're interested in. Click into the listings and look at the photos posted by the seller. They typically show the back side of the skein band with the dye lot/production date information. From there, you can determine if the lots available match yours. Although it's recommended to use the same dye lot for your entire project, we realize this is not always possible for crafters. In that case, you have some problem-solving options in case the yarns aren't matching well: • Try working 2 rows from one dye lot and then 2 rows from the other dye lot, carrying the yarn that you are not working with up the side of your project, rather than cutting it at the end of every row. This technique can minimize the influence of working with different lots and give a more uniform/intentional look to your finished piece. • Use color-blocking with a different, complementary color to separate the existing yarns and minimize the appearance of difference • Consider changing the stitch pattern to trick the eye into thinking the difference is a result of stitching • Shorten the project (i.e., don't use another lot) We hope this information has been helpful!
