    Questions

    1 - 1 of 1 Question

Q: The pattern says to center the sleeve over the center seam, but it starts on an off-center stitch. How so you center it

    1 Answer

A: The sleeves for the Red Heart Sweet Shell Crochet Cardigan should begin at the underarm where the front and back panels meet. Make sure you have the right side of the fabric facing. Join yarn at the 9th (9th, 9th, 11th) row as per the side you are making. To ensure the sleeves are centered, make sure you have the same number of shells worked for each of the front and back of the sleeves. You will have a total of 5 (5, 5, 6) shells made. This means one of your shells will be centered on the shoulder seam if you are making any of the sizes which has 5 shells for the sleeve. Otherwise, for the largest size, you will have 3 in the front and 3 in the back.
