a year agoThis is a great pattern if you’re new to crochet clothing - it’s downhill from here (it was for me anyway). I didn’t like the sleeves so changed them. All of the details are on my Ravelry account … find the pattern there.Yes, I recommend this product.

2 years agoI used the yarn specific to this patten. No problem matching the guage. Worked up super fast until I got to the sleeves. Had to start over on them 4 times! I'm 5'4", 130. Made a medium on the back, large for the front panels and sleeves. I did a single row of single crochet all along the front edge and around the neck. Made the front lie flatter.Yes, I recommend this product.

Questions
Start typing your question and we'll check if it was already asked and answered.1 - 4 of 4 QuestionsQ: Sleeve next row ch4 ch 1, 1 dc , ch 1 to last dc. 19 dc. Then days rep last row. 14 times. I presume this above row please? Then says 34 dc, where are these counts? 14 rows of the above makes a rectangle and not reducing like the diagram. Thanks
2 months ago1 AnswerA: The sleeves for the Open Front Comfy Crochet Cardigan are worked from cuff to shoulder. You should expect the sleeves to be narrow at the beginning and get wider as you work and increase in stitch count. When the pattern says to “rep last row” you will repeat the row you just finished working. When it says to “rep last two rows” you will repeat the last two rows you just worked.
2 months agoHelpful?Q: I’m having trouble with the sleeves! At row 30 (sleeves, small) where does the last stitch go? What is the difference between “1 DC in the top of last DC” and “1 DC in last DC”
8 months ago1 AnswerA: Earlier in the sleeve instruction, we learn Ch 4 (counts as dc and ch 1 here and throughout). Because of this instruction, when you get the row following chain 4, you will want to go into the top of the last DC, which means the third stitch of chain 4. In the alternating rows, the beginning stitch is a ch3, so on the return row, you will go into that ch3 as it counts as a dc. We hope this gives you the clarity you need to work the sleeves of your Open Front Comfy Crochet Cardigan. Do not hesitate to reach out if you have additional questions.
8 months agoHelpful?Q: Is there a video tutorial someone has done? I'm having issues with row 5, and would like to watch a video on how that particular row is done
11 months ago1 AnswerA: Unfortunately, we do not have a video for the Open Front Comfy Crochet Cardigan, but we are happy to help with the 5th row. The 5th row is worked like the 1st row. 5th row: Ch 1. 1 sc in first dc (the dc the chain comes out of). Here, the repeat begins: *Ch 2. Skip next (dc and) ch-1 sp. V-st in next dc, ch 2. Skip next ch-1 sp. 1 sc in next ch-1 sp. Rep from * to last 2 ch-1 sp. Ch 2. Skip next (dc and) ch-1 sp. V-st in next dc. Ch 2. Skip next ch-1 sp and dc. 1 sc in the last dc. Turn. 16 (17-18-19-21-22) sc and 15 (16-17-18-20-21) V-sts. There is also a diagram on page 2 for you to compare these instructions to for a better visual. However, I hope these expanded instructions help you along.
11 months agoHelpful?Q: been searching for an easy lacy cardigan. Would like to wear over leggings. Can i simply make it longer? Will it be too heavy to wear comfortably? thanks!
a year ago1 AnswerA: Yes you can simply make it longer. It will be heavy as it is worsted weight yarn. There are lighter options: https://www.yarnspirations.com/bernat-we-mesh-well-crochet-cardigan/BRC0129-032920M.html?cgid=patterns https://www.yarnspirations.com/patons-crochet-cardigan/PAC0129-008623M.html?cgid=patterns https://www.yarnspirations.com/patons-crochet-mesh-cardigan/PAC0129-034206M.html?cgid=patterns
