    Difficult to follow but totally worth it.

    I found the pattern difficult to follow. The part that didn't make sense for me was the motif. What helped is writing it out by hand with each instruction on a separate line. That being said I made a beautifull blanket with this pattern. I used Aran Fleck instead of Aran which gave it a warmth the Aran lacked. I made it longer and wider than the pattern. I also added a double crochet border around the perimeter. I love this afghan. It's the most beautiful afghan I've ever made. I've received so many compliments on it. It looks so amazing on my bed. I've been crocheting for 49 years and this is absolutely my most favorite of all the things I've made. One thing I'd advise is to weave in your ends as you go. I estimated there were over 2,000 ends to weave in and I'm so glad I did it as I went along! In the picture you can see a few from the border.
