This is a beautiful yarn. The colors are gorgeous and the yarn is soft and nice to work with.

I used Gemstone in Ruby and Olivine for beanie and scarf sets. I really liked the color ways and the feel of the yarn. I used a different yarn for 2 other sets and I really preferred Gemstone!!

I was so excited to find this yarn on Amazon. This is my 2nd year making loom hats for charity in the Minneapolis area. The loom method works best with # 5-6 Bulky yarns. This yarn is thinner that a #4 worsted yarn, so would need 3 or more strands to make a warm hat. I was goining to return, but remembered I have a grey colored #4 worsted yarn that works with this thin yarn to give me a thicker product. Are all of the Red Heart yarns thinner that the other brands on the market?

This yarn used to be my favorite it is very beautiful but lately it is a lot thinner than it used to be it is indicated as a bulky 5 and I feel like it used to be but the yarn that I purchased this month is a thin 4 at best and is not roving at all it seems like it's completely different than it used to be.

I bought the last 4 skeins of the redheart gemstone- diamond at my local store. I was SOOOOOO excited for the blanket I was making, only to have 2 of the skeins an absolute MESS inside. I thought it was a joke, but sure enough I had a 2nd one equally as bad. No idea what to do now, as I'm half way done at this point. This was my first favorite yarn thus far, and now I'm bummed. Itll be $20 to replace it online and I am not able to respend that at this time :(

I bought enough of this yarn to make a shawl. The first skein was fine.. it had a few knots that I wasn't too happy about, but it worked up nicely. I like to pull from the center, so when I pulled out the big blob in the center, it came out..... ALL the way out, as in not attached to the rest of the skein! So I set it aside to use it when I finished the rest of the skein. It was made up of a bunch of pieces! So I was irked, but figured that happens occasionally. Started the next skein, and guess what? The same thing! A big bunch of tangled pieces. Ugh It's like they took all the ends that were lying around and stuffed them into the skein just to make the weight come out right. Totally unusable. So I got 7.5 inches of my pattern using the first skein, and only 5 inches of the next skein. I won't be buying this again until they start paying attention to their quality control. Otherwise, it's a nice soft yarn that works up nicely, but SO frustrating when you have to deal with tons of knots and pieces that aren't even connected.

I really liked this yarn due to the colors, however my problem with this yarn is the sizing. One part of the yarn will be 5 bulky and a few inches down it is like string. This happens throughout the skein and it’s ANNOYING! I wouldn’t make things to sell with this yarn it costs too much to have issues like this.

Wouldnt calls this a size5 yarn infact its cant seem to decide if it is or isnt some sections are almost a 6 while the skinny parts ate closer to a 3... could just be the lot i got. That being said the colours are beautiful
