I am so happy with my frog!! I used almost one full skein of lionbrand's made with love - the cottony one, in olive twist, and added the white details with the same brand in the colour lychee white. I then used some scrap lionbrand feels like butta in the colour black for the pupils. I made little white sclera's by following the directions for the pupils, then putting 2 hdc in each hdc, to make them a little bigger, and I didn't add a mouth. The pattern is so easy to follow, and I was able to make this hat in about 4 hours. We can't get the red heart yarn here in my country, but I am so so so happy with this pattern. I am going to be making more of these I think!

Crocheted this in red fit my daughter-in-law who loves red frogs and it came out great! I also wanted to balance the rating from someone who gave it one star for no reason.

I made this pattern today. The written instructions are over explained and include a lot of photos which is great for absolutely beginners. I’ve crocheted for 20, years (I’m not even 30 lol) so it registered as being written easy enough for someone’s first project. I personally have a tighter tension so I increased my rows where I felt I needed according to the size I wanted for my head. (I added two more rows of the same stitches to fit better) I think next one I make I’ll do an additional increase row before beginning the repeated rows and then extend those by 3 rows to fit my partner’s head.
