Anonymousa year ago1 AnswerA: You can use cotton as long as it is a #4 weight cotton. The yardage is not available for this pattern, so I would get one skein each of two colors and try that. Once you make one you can weight the hat to determine the ounces required. Keep in mind that ounces of acrylic and ounces of cotton will not be the same #.
