Q: How do I do the edging. I am unable to make the video play. Can you help me

    1 Answer

A: The edging for the Red Heart Beginner Crochet Throw is single crochet all around the perimeter of the blanket, beginning where you left off with the completion of the main pattern. You will begin the edging just like you would a new row, making sure to have the right side of the fabric facing up. Work 1 sc into each dc across the row. Then, turn 90-degrees so you can work up the side (the ends of the rows), beginning with 2 sc in next row so you can turn the corner. Sc up the ends of each row until you get to the last row. 2 sc I last row. Turn 90-degrees. Now, you’re going to work across the foundation chain and work 1 sc into each bump for the foundation chain across the row. Turn 90-degrees once more and work 2 sc into the end of the next row. Sc up the ends of each row until you get to the last row. 2 sc into the last row. Join with a slip stitch to the first sc of the edging. Fasten off.

Q: How do I make this square and not rectangular?

    1 Answer

A: To make this a square just stop working on it when it is a square (or when it measure as long as it does wide).
