Free Easy Crochet Plant Home Décor Pattern

A classic color scheme and elegant design come together to create this crochet tree skirt. Made in Caron One Pound, this easy pattern is worked in rows of double crochet from the center out. Surface slip stitch stripes are added in a contrasting color to highlight the rows. A bobble trim adds an extra festive touch, while button loops along the edging make it easy to secure the skirt in place. Start a new tradition around this warm handmade treasure. Make the matching stocking, too!

Q: Is the skirt supposed to be 24 rows total? Or 26? By by math 24 rows equates to 360 stitches in row 24 if increasing by 12 stitches per row. But the pattern says 384sts in the last row???

    1 Answer

A: After you have worked the 14th row of the Crochet Twirly Pinstripe Tree Skirt, you should have 240 sts. Next, the pattern says to work 12 more rows, increasing 12 sts evenly across each row. 12 rows x 12 stitches increased = 144 stitches increased. 240 + 144 = 384 sts You will have 384 sts at the very last row of the skirt increase rows.
