    Q: Hello, I am confused about leaving a stitch unfinished and starting one stitch in when changing colors. Won’t that make the pattern narrow as I add rows? Thanks for helping a left handed, dyslexic crocheter.

    A: The Zig Zag Afghan is a chevron pattern that uses increases and decreases to achieve the zig zag. The increase (1 sc. Ch 2. 1 sc) in the next ch-2 sp adds a stitch to recover the stitch eliminated at the beginning of the row. You can proceed with confidence!
