10 months agoThis pattern worked up super fast & is very customizable. I used Bernat Blanket in the color Raspberry Triffle & a size 8 hook & I love how it turned out. I used 3 skiens of yarn & it wasn't as large as I wanted it so I will be buying more yarn but for now I am happy with how it turned outYes, I recommend this product.

2 years agoI absolutely love this pattern! I've made one for all 3 of my kids, 7 nieces and nephew's and several for friends babies. It's quick, doesn't require much counting, I love working in a round and it's totally versatile. I loved it when nursing my babies. My youngest nephew is the latest recipient and he squeals with delight when you give it to him. I made his with a minkey style of yarnYes, I recommend this product.

2 years agoFrogged a shelved, partially finished blanket that had driven me crazy with a terribly written pattern (from a random company), so as to get a gift finished. This pattern is intuitive, super simple to remember the progression, you don't even need the pattern after a few rounds, and it works up wonderfully fast. I am about a third of the way done in just a couple/few hours. Of course it will slow down on the subsequent longer rounds, but that's okay. It shows off the beautiful color of the specialty contrast yarn I had as well. Using 4.0mm hook as suggested and bernat baby big ball yarn in ecru for main color, contrast yarn is similar weight. I think the only change I will make is to end with the ecru and not the color. One extra double row. Bottom line: I would make this blanket more than once and I usually hate repeating patterns. Recommended.Yes, I recommend this product.

2 years agoHelpful?Q: I cant get this pattern to work, rnd 3 i do the corner and then its 1dc in each miss 2 2dc if i do 2 dc in the 1st 2 stitches miss 2 i only have 1 dc left what am i doing wrong?
2 years ago1 AnswerA: Thank you for contacting us regarding the Bernat Star Blanket. We are happy to help you with the third round. When you *(3dc.Ch2. 3dc)in next ch-2 sp, these stitches are known to cover that first dc that you will work in the next set of instructions: “1 dc in each of next 2 dc.” We recommend sliding those stitches off that dc so you can work your dc into it and the instructions will work out perfectly. Note: The stitch you will work into for a dc is slightly behind the bar at the top of the dc. I hope this helps you along!
