Excellent for baskets and home decor

This is a very sturdy and functional yarn. I was frustrated by yarns that collapsed when I was making baskets and home decor so I tried this yarn and it is perfect. It is stiff ent to hold the shape of a large piece but it doesn’t hurt my hands the way other macrame yarns do and is a pleasure to work with!

    Yes, I recommend this product.

Q: How to open up the skein—don’t see how to start yarn

    1 Answer

A: Thanks for your question. Here is an article about identifying different types of skeins and how to start them: https://www.yarnspirations.com/ca-en/rh-20151103-what-is-the-difference-between-balls-and-skeins-of-yarn%3F.html For this yarn, if you're not successful finding the end by inserting your fingers into the end of the skein (and trying again on the other end), you're welcomed to remove it's skein band/wrapper and start from the outside.

Q: Is it safe to use this material to make functional potholders

    1 Answer

A: I would say no to seal the ends of the macrame cord you put a lit lighter close to the ends to melt them so I would not use the cord for pot holders taking hot items out of the oven NO No NO
