    Great pattern

Pretty easy to adapt to any size/yarn type since most of it in based in inches and not number of stitches (the layout with the dimension is really helpful) I think the only spot that might be a bit problematic is figuring out where to sl st for the hood, but I got it eventually. could maybe use a diagram there to show how to only partially sew together the shoulders and then start the hood, otherwise really nice :)

    Very poorly written

This pattern is incredibly confusing and very poorly written. Save yourself the time by not starting on this pattern and instead finding a different option.

horrible pattern. I'm unsure where the beginning even is. It would have been such an awesome item to recreate but it is not worth the hassle of following this very confusing pattern.

    Cool pattern

While this pattern appears to be well written it could use a few more bits of info such as the length of the sleeves when finished

No, I do not recommend this product.

Thanks for your feedback. If it's helpful, you can refer to the diagram on the second page for the length of the sleeves.

    Questions

    1 - 10 of 10 Questions

Q: Can you clarify where the first slip stitch goes for the hood?

    1 Answer

A: According to the “Notes” section, the “Hood is worked from neck in Finishing.” Make sure you have the right side (public side) of the fabric facing you. You will join the yarn with a slip stitch to the right front at the neck. We hope you enjoy your Lounge Around Crochet Blanket Hoodie!

Q: I'm struggling to start with the hood even though I followed the smaller pattern exactly and it is as if I can't find a way to get the 5 sc up the sides and 17 around the back of the neck evenly as suggested. A youtube tutorial would've been helpful :(

    1 Answer

A: If you’re struggling to work the number of stitches up the front, sides, back, and down the other side, my first inclination is to consider your gauge. If you have not matched your gauge to that of the pattern, this will cause issues. You may require more or fewer stitches to start the hood. I would encourage you to measure your gauge and go from there. If you have fewer stitches and/or rows for your gauge, then your gauge is looser (a smaller hook would be required to meet gauge). If you have more stitches and/or rows for your gauge, then your gauge is tighter (a larger hook would be required to meet gauge). I would not necessarily tell you to frog it all out. If your gauge is tighter, simply change to the larger hook to begin the hood as long as the Bernat Lounge Around Blanket Hoodie fits the intended wearer fine. If your gauge is looser, you can make more sc stitches in the first round and then strategically sc2tog to get the exact stitch counts called for in the first row. All is not lost. I hope this gets you on the right track. Please feel free to email inquire@yarnspirations.com if you have further questions.

Q: When you sew the front, back and sleeves in, do you sew the so the right sides are together or the wrong sides together

    1 Answer

A: Sewing with right sides facing or wrong sides facing gives a slightly different look. Since it is not specified in the pattern, you can pick the way you prefer when finishing your Lounge Around Crochet Blanket Hoodie. Sounds like you are almost done! You've got this!

Q: Am I working the front and back all the way across on the band up to where I will attach the sleeves? The diagram shows 42" across. So 42" for the front and 42" for the back? Then work front and back separately?

    2 Answers

A: My apologies, yes either 32" across for both front and back OR 42" across for both front and back. Those are the two sizes available.

Q: I want to make this with redheart sports weight yarn ...I need to know the directions for this and how much yarn to use.

    1 Answer

A: We love it when consumers share their ideas with us and have shared this with our Design team. The modifications you are inquiring about would require re-writing the pattern and regrettably, this is not a service our design team provides. You may be able to find someone locally or online if you don't feel comfortable doing them on your own. If our Design Team moves forward with your suggestion, it may be quite some time before it would be available, as typically new designs are planned out a few years in advance.

Q: Is it just the two sizes? If I wanted to make a 2xl size would I need to work the 2/5xl pattern?

    1 Answer

A: Yes, there are 2 sizes for this pattern. If you wish to make a 2XL you would need to follow the instructions for the 2/5XL (in yellow). Sometimes, if you are unsure of which size to make, the chest measurements (both to fit and finished measurements) can help: To fit chest measurement XS/XL 28-46" [71-117 cm] 2/5XL 48-62" [122-157.5 cm] Finished chest measurement XS/XL 65" [165 cm] 2/5XL 84" [213.5 cm]

Q: Is there a Knit pattern for this

Q: Is there a video I can find one this? Specifically the part where it starts on the left neck? I’m not understanding.

    1 Answer

A: There's no video for this pattern, however, we hope we can help you through this next section. To shape the left front neck, you are only working across 25 or 33 stitches depending on your size. Once done you will skip the center 7 sc to work 25 or 33 stitches for the right side. If you look at the diagram on page 3, you are now working on what we have highlighted below in yellow, one side at a time. The red line in between marks those skipped 7 sc. We hope this helps!
