2 years agoI used this pattern with a super chunky yarn. The stitch count required a bit of homework when changing section. I hated doing it but doing gauge swatches was super helpful to refine the pattern. Some of the sections really ate up yarn, so be sure to buy more than you think you'll need. I added a 3 row border to even out the sections. The bride loved what ended being a weighted blanket!Yes, I recommend this product.

Questions
Start typing your question and we'll check if it was already asked and answered.1 - 2 of 2 QuestionsQ: Can this blanket be made smaller (ie for a baby blanket). In order to do so, does the starting foundation chain have to be a specific multiple?
3 months ago1 AnswerA: The multiples for the different sections of your Crochet Sampler Blanket Sparkle are different for each part. As each section is a multiple of 8, you could try decreasing your original chain by multiples of 8. However, we are unable to guarantee results or to offer continued support once you change the pattern. FYI - Here are the multiples for each stitch pattern: Puff Stitch: Multiple of 4 + 2. The pattern starts with 82 chains. 2 chains are the turning chains, so 80 sts remain. (82-2=80/4=20 repeats) Waffle Stitch: Multiple of 4 + 3. Note that in the Set-up row of the Waffle Stitch pattern, 1st is decreased (80-1=79), so the pattern is worked over 79 sts. (79-3=76/4= 19 repeats) Zig Zag Bobble Stitch: Multiple of 8 + 7. In the pattern, the stitch repeat is worked over 79 sts. (79-7=72 /8=9 repeats) Diagonal Spike Stitch: Multiple of 4. Note that in the Set-up row of the Diagonal Spike Stitch, 1 st is increased (79+1=80), so the pattern is worked over 80 sts. (The 1st 2 sts and last 2 sts of the row are set-up stitches; there are 19 repeats of the pattern) Note that the last row of the Diagonal Spike pattern has a decrease of 1 sts; the section ends with 79 sts. Wicker Stitch Section: Multiple of 2 + 1. In the pattern, this section starts with 79 sts. (79-1=78/2 = 39 repeats) We hope this helps you choose how to proceed with your project.
