6 years agoI bought 3 skeins and they were perfectly wrapped. They came just in time as well. I will definitely be ordering more yarn!!! Thank you!Helpful?Anonymous5 out of 5 stars.Fun Yarn
6 years agoLove this yarn - warm and cozy for the blanket I am crocheting. Can be a bit hard to work with, as it has a tendency to "stick" to itself, so just need to be a bit mindful while working with it.Helpful?Anonymous5 out of 5 stars.Blanket

7 years agoThis was a reorder - 3rd afghan this season. My grandkids esch requested their own soft and oh so soft queen size afghan . All knit on a knitting loom, which is new to me. I have always knit either by hand or with knitting machines. Work up beautifully!!!Helpful?Anonymous5 out of 5 stars.Example: Great features!
7 years agoMaking aphgans for forty years as a self taught left-handed crocheter. This is superior yarn to work magic with. The bulk gives the impression of Heavyness but is surprisingly lighter than many of the blankets Ive made. Plus it is super warm. Highly recommended!Helpful?5 out of 5 stars. So soft and light
7 years agoBought this blanket yarn to make a hooded owl blanket for my daughter. The yarn is so cozy. Bought it on clearance at a fantastic price. Also made a hat with it.Helpful?5 out of 5 stars.Beautiful yarn

7 years agoI make hats for chemo patients and children with sensory issues, and this yarn is perfect. Soft, thick, and warm, and I can get 2 youth hats from one skein. I always bought it at the store, but one skein had an unfortunate know in the yarn and was not usable for my purpose. I contacted the company, they apologized, and made it more than right by giving me a $20 gift certificate to order direct. THAT is great customer service, and rare these days. From now on, I will order direct from Yarnspirations.Helpful?- Verified Purchaser

5 years agoBeautiful. However, I really think the "Navy" blue color could be darker. I appreciate the opportunity to purchase Blanket Brights at a discount. I am a bit disheartened that it is priced higher than the other colors.Helpful?Anonymous4 out of 5 stars.Soft Yarn
7 years agoI like this yarn. It is very soft and great for a throw for a chair or a couch. It it bulkier than I am used to, so I have to work slower with it. Takes getting used to, though.Helpful?Anonymous4 out of 5 stars.Blanket yarn
7 years agoGreat blanket yarn!! Better to crochet with it, not the greatest for knitting.Helpful?Anonymous4 out of 5 stars.Very soft
7 years agoIts easy to work with and very soft. Afghan is warm and looks great when finished. My only complaint is the yarn has breaks in the skein and sometimes you dont see/feel it until you are in the middle of a row and you have to back up the work.Helpful?4 out of 5 stars.Example: Great features!
7 years agoI started this back in September, ran out of the dark teal and couldnt find it anywhere. Tried to order it through a yarn shop, but they ordered it a month later and got the colour wrong. Finally I ordered it through you got it, delivered a week later than promised. All said and done, Afghan finished and delivered, recipient happy.Helpful?Anonymous4 out of 5 stars.Love this yarn
7 years agoI love the way this yarn feels. It works up fast and textured patterns are gorgeous.Helpful?Anonymous4 out of 5 stars.Almost perfect
7 years agoThis yarn is incredibly soft and the weight is perfect! I loved working with it. I bought 11 skeins, and the only problem I encountered was that 7 of the skeins had knots in them where new yarn had been joined. One skein even had two knots. For a typical yarn, I usually expect about 1 knot per every 5 skeins, but these knots occurred much more frequently. It was very disappointing since it added more knots to my project as I already had to knot the skeins together. Even so, I would probably buy this yarn again.Helpful?- Verified Purchaser

7 years agoI bought this yarn for a crochet blanket project. Admittedly, this was my first time working with super bulky yarn, but I found it hard to work with. The final blanket turned out great - it's super warm and soft. It'll take some breaking in (it's a bit stiff), but so far, so good!Helpful?2 out of 5 stars. Was alright
4 years agoI bought and finally just got on my last ball for my project and the last ball is AWFUL. There is almost 15 reties in the yarn and the yarn is bulky enough this messes up my stitches. Also were the ties are it appears half the yarn is scrapped off the strand. It's awful. I attempted to contact and so far no response.Helpful?2 out of 5 stars. Was alright

2 months agoHelpful?Q: How many skeins do you recommend to make a queen sized blanket? I know it depends on stitch and everything too, but on average how many do you think that would take?
7 months ago1 AnswerA: This is definitely pattern dependent. Knitting uses 2/3 of what crochet calls for. Cables can add 20 to 30%. Gauge affects yarn requirements and can add as much as 300 grams of yarn to a blanket just by using a different gauge. Due to the many factors that effect yarn requirements, we cannot answer that. However, if you find a throw pattern that you like and you can get gauge using the same hook or needle size as the pattern, you can use the method below to calculate your yarn requirements. When you wish to change the size of blanket you are making, there is a quick guide to follow when purchasing your yarn. This tip is based on purchasing the same yarn, as what is listed on the pattern. Double bed - 2 times what the afghan pattern calls for Queen bed - 3 times what the afghan pattern calls for King bed - 4 times what the afghan pattern calls for For example, if your afghan pattern calls for 7 balls of yarn, and you want to make a king size blanket, you will need 7 balls x 4 = 28 balls of yarn for the pattern you have chosen to make. We hope you have found this helpful!
7 months agoHelpful?Q: I am trying to finish a blanket for my grandson.bi can't find anymore of the color. I don't know the name of it but it is very close to Ohio State colors. Can someone please help me. Thank you. Julie Haefler..
2 years ago2 AnswersA: Try Raspberry Trifle or Buoy 💕 both have shades of red and grey.
a year agoHelpful?Q: I'm looking for colors to match your "Bernat Blanket Yarn, Oceanside Item# 16120000103." Specifically, the dark blue and green colors, for edging and alternating stripes in a blanket I'm making for my grandson.
a year ago1 AnswerA: Many of the colors in our multi-colored yarns are specific to that item, designed to be unique shades and not offered as a standalone color. Unfortunately, we do not have a solid ball recommendation as color choice can be personal. It is also difficult to capture the true color online so if possible, we would recommend that for best results, take your multicolored yarn to a shop and compare against solid colors in-person.
a year agoHelpful?Q: Which yarn colors go nicely with Cozy Cabin?
a year ago1 AnswerA: I would lean toward beach foam or olive. If we had a chocolate brown, it would also be amazing. You can also try Navy, but I would hold them together first. We do not have any of the colors in standalone colors. If you are able to do so, I would take a skein or project to the store to find a coordinate that you really like.
a year agoHelpful?Q: Started a project in 2020. I bought Bernat Blanket Yarn in Country Blue originally. I just bought more and the colors are DRASTICALLY different. Any suggestions? Original yarn label says: 2019-06-401, 10106 Country Blue, 161110. Did the color change?
