    1 - 1 of 1 Question

Q: After I CH 9 with the second color and how do I then DC into the row of the back panel? I don't know how to begin the DC with the CH 9 still on the hook.

    1 Answer

A: It seems you have just fastened off color A and are starting color B in your Crochet Straight to the Top project. When you start with color B, you are also adding stitches for each sleeve. In order for the beginning of each sleeve to be even, you will first chain 9 with color B and leave it unworked for now. Immediately afterward, you will attach the chain to your top by working across the last row of the work you have done in color A with the RS of the fabric facing upwards (you should have just finished with a WS row). Work 1 dc in each dc across. Then, chain 11 at the end. Turn. You now have the necessary chains for both sleeves. At the end of the 2nd row, you will have 9 dc for each sleeve added to the work. I hope this helps you move forward with your project. Enjoy!
