10 months agoThis pattern is very nice, if you do not follow the video technique. On row 3, he is making dc behind each other. They should be stacked on top of each other. I wasted many rows, following the video directions with the pattern not looking like the picture. When I reversed the direction of the 3 dc's, the pattern is perfect and goes much faster.Helpful?Quality of Product, 5.0 out of 5Value of Product, 5.0 out of 5Response from Yarnspirations:10 months agoConsumer CareThank you for your feedback regarding the Red Heart Turkish Stitch Crochet Shawl. We took the opportunity to review the pattern as well as the video and find them both to be accurate and completely compatible. In Row 3, the three BPDC are worked around the first dc of each cluster, which is what causes the twisting effect of the clusters. While you may have chosen to work your shawl differently, we are glad you’re happy with the final piece you have created. Isn't that is what is great about patterns and recipes, you can make them in the way that suits you best. Happy Making.2 out of 5 stars.Pattern and chart do not agree.
a year agoI've been crocheting for a long time and consider myself very advanced. On the surface this pattern is very simple. However, the written directions for the 3rd row of the body do not match the chart. And no matter what I tried with adjusting the pattern, the edges would not stay straight. My tension is very consistent but even following only the chart the edges bow out further and further. There is some error in this pattern. No, I do not recommend this product.
Helpful?Quality of Product, 2.0 out of 5Value of Product, 3.0 out of 5Response from Yarnspirations:a year agoConsumer CareWe wanted to send you a quick note to let you know our design team has reviewed the pattern. Please stay tuned for the pattern to be updated online but in the meantime we wanted to share that the pattern will be updated as follows… 2nd row: Sl st in next ch-2 sp. Ch 2. Cluster in same sp as sl st. *Skip next 2 dc. 3 dc in next dc. Ch 3. Rep from * to last Cluster. Cluster in last Cluster. Turn. This will make the instructions for Row 3 make more sense. We appreciate you letting us know about this error so that we can get this updated for you and future crafters. Thank you for your patience in this process.Ohio2 out of 5 stars.Easy stitch but just didn’t look good as hard as I
a year agoLoved the pattern but could not keep my edges straight at all. I may be only a year into crocheting but I’ve successfully completed several more complex designs than this one. As much as I love the yarn a design, I finally had to cut my losses and frog the entire project. No, I do not recommend this product.
Helpful?Quality of Product, 1.0 out of 5Value of Product, 2.0 out of 5Response from Yarnspirations:a year agoConsumer CareThis is definitely one of those patterns where consistent gauge is really important. If puff stitches or cluster stitches are made on a tighter gauge than the rest of the stitches, it will skew the entire project. We hope you are able to find projects that bring you joy as you move forward in your crochet journey. -
