Description
Free Easy Crochet Toy Pattern for Babies
Not only is this little buddy super cute, but these toys provide a great comfort to preemies! Studies have shown that babies who cuddle a toy octopus in their incubtor are less likely to pull at their monitors and tubes! Crocheted in the round and lightly stuffed, cuddly tentacles are created with simple double crochet. One ball of Red Heart Bunches of Hugs makes 5 huggable octopuses, making this the perfect item to donate to your local NICU.

9 months agoI made this thing the first time in 2020 before the revisions without any problems. With the revisions it is even easier for beginners. Making the octopus for my son who was born at the cusp of the pandemic, prematurely, helped me keep it together for him. Having something to do for him besides pumping, holding something solid in my hands that was meant only for him, that he was able to keep in his isolet with him in the NICU when I couldn't be there holding him, helped give me back some sanity and peace of mind. Little things mean a whole world of difference. I love using this pattern. It still means so much to me and I'd like to thank everyone who makes having these patterns available and for free. I want them to know that they are blessing lives and making differences. Thank you so much.Yes, I recommend this product.
