    Q: I would like to knit this skirt but make it longer .would the pattern need to be adjusted for a longer length?

    A: To increase the length of the skirt, just keep knitting to the next repeat of the Irish Moss chart in the section before the first decrease: Cont in established pat, until work from beg measures approx 13 (13½-14-1414½-16)” [33 (34.5-35.5-35.5-37-40.5) cm], ending on a 4th rnd of Irish Moss St Pat. So if your length is 14 inches, change that length to whatever length you desire.
