Start typing your question and we'll check if it was already asked and answered.1 - 3 of 3 QuestionsQ: For the back, it says work 43 sc evenly across. But when it comes to armholes it’s skip first 4 sts, join yarn with sl st to next dc.…pat across next 34 sts. Leave 4 sts I worked…it doesn’t add up.
7 months ago1 AnswerA: Let’s take a look at the armhole shaping on the back panel of the Child’s Crochet V-Neck Pullover. As you know, you’re working with a stitch count of 43. Shape armholes: Next row: (RS). Skip first 4 (4-4-4-6) sts. Join yarn with sl st to next dc. (Into the 5th stitch.) Ch 1. 1 sc in same sp as last sl st. Pat across next 34 (36-40-44-44) sts. (This is 4 sts skipped + 35 sts worked = 39 sts, 4 remain.) Turn. Leave rem 4 (4-4-4-6) sts unworked.** I hope this helps you make sense of the instructions here. Happy stitching!
7 months agoHelpful?Q: Is the sizing quite accurate? I was making the size 8/10 for my grandson in Christmas colors. Just working up the collar this was probably 3 sizes too large.
8 months ago1 AnswerA: This pattern is bottom up. The collar is not worked separately, and it is a v-neck neckband that is worked last. Based upon gauge, the sizing is accurate.
8 months agoHelpful?Q: I want to correct my question...I was making a size 10 and it seemed quite too large. His normal clothing would be an 8, which is why I originally thought to make this a size larger, but even the 8 is far, far too large, just in the collar. suggestions?
