Description
Free Intermediate Knit Afghan/Blanket Home Décor Pattern
Try your hand at 2-color knitting using the easy "mosaic" technique on this knit blanket. Only knit and slipped stitches are used to achieve the graphic chevron pattern that looks more difficult than it really is to complete. Bernat Blanket makes it bold in contrasting tones, but use the duo of shades you prefer to make it personal.

Questions
Start typing your question and we'll check if it was already asked and answered.1 - 2 of 2 QuestionsQ: why does the pattern start with smaller needles and less stitches?
a year ago1 AnswerA: This pattern starts with smaller needles and less stitches as a way to keep it from getting ripples etc. The gauge differences between any two fabrics (in this case the garter edge and the mosaic in the middle) can also cause distortions. By using a smaller needle for the stretchier edge fabric and a larger one for the less stretchy middle, it creates a happy balance between the two.
a year agoHelpful?Q: Can this pattern be adapted to crochet? I'd love to crochet it!
a year ago1 AnswerA: This pattern is only available in knit and although our design team is always innovating to provide consumers with new, fresh, and on-trend patterns, we do not have any immediate plans to re-write it for crochet at this time. We hope you might find something in our current pattern collection and are sorry we cannot accommodate your request.
