    A: On page 3, under the photo of the mittens, is the cable pattern used for the mittens: Mittens Cable Pat (worked over 16 sts). 1st row: P2. K12. P2. 2nd and alt rows: Knit all knit sts and purl all purl sts as they appear. 3rd row: P2. C4B. K4. C4B. P2. 5th row: As 1st row. 7th row: P2. K4. C4B. K4. P2. 8th row: As 2nd row. Last 8 rows form Cable Pat. You will continue to repeat the cable pattern. After row 4, you will work row 5. Once you work row 8, the next row will be row 1.
