4 months agoI just got the blue of this and am loving how it works up in stripes. Its gorgeous. The colors abruptly change like any self striping yarn but it looks lovely how they did it. I am enjoying the color changes and how the product looks worked up. Great yarn will get more. I read really negative reviews of this yarn and did not buy it because of that originally. Glad i took the chance.Helpful?Quality of Product, 5.0 out of 5Value of Product, 5.0 out of 5- Verified Purchaser

2 years agoI love love LOVE this yarn. I’m making a blanket for my daughter that’s about to be born, I originally bought 3, and the size I’m making this blanket would fit a twin bed. I did like 100 rows. So to make a full blanket (to fit a twin bed I guess) I’m thinking 8 or 9 bundles.Helpful?5 out of 5 stars.Question

Questions
Start typing your question and we'll check if it was already asked and answered.1 - 9 of 9 QuestionsQ: What colors make up the Navy Ombre?
3 months ago1 AnswerA: Thank you for your interest in this pattern. Many of the colors in our multi-colored yarns are specific to that item, designed to be unique shades, and not offered as a standalone color. Unfortunately, we do not have a solid ball recommendation, as color choice can be personal. It is also difficult to capture the true color online so if possible, we would recommend that for best results, take your multicolored yarn to a shop and compare against solid colors in-person. Best of luck with your project!
3 months agoHelpful?Q: How long is each color/ what is the recommended number of stitches to make the colors even on a blanket?
a year ago1 AnswerA: The color lengths are not even, nor exact. There is not a set number of stitches recommended. There are patterns available. https://www.yarnspirations.com/en-ca/search?filter.p.m.global.project_type=Afghans+%26+Blankets&filter.p.product_type=Pattern&q=BERNAT+BLANKET+OMBRE
a year agoHelpful?Q: How many balls do u need for a lap blanket
a year ago1 AnswerA: For a lap blanket, 6 to 10 balls would be required depending upon knit or crochet, and basic stitches, cables, or lace, as the design drastically changes yarn required.
a year agoHelpful?Q: Has the colour Eggplant been discontinued? In desperate need of 2 balls!!
a year ago1 AnswerA: We are happy to tell you that the Eggplant in the Bernat Blanket Ombres Yarn (300g/10.5oz) product line is not being discontinued. If you are not able to find it locally, it may be that your local store is just out of stock. It is available on Yarnspirations.com if you would like to purchase directly.
a year agoHelpful?Q: Where is the starting end of this yarn cake?
a year ago1 AnswerA: You should pull the plug from the center and start the cake from the center. If you can't see the end, you may need to pull a little bit of yarn all at once from the center to get started.
a year agoHelpful?Q: What oranges are in this ombré ?

a year agoHelpful?Q: Wondering what purples are in this ombré, the dark purple in particular
a year ago1 AnswerA: The purples are: Blackberry cordial Purple heart Diffused orchid African violet Crocus petal Orchid hush
a year agoHelpful?Q: Will the dark colors in the ombre yarn bleed?
2 years ago1 AnswerA: It may happen with yarns that feature a rich, dark color, because these require a heavier application of dyes, which may not fully absorb into the yarn. Should you find that you need to set the dye to prevent it from bleeding, after your project is complete but prior to washing, soak it in a solution of cold water with ½ to 1 cup of coarse salt, depending on the size of your item. After half an hour of soaking, rinse your item with clean water. Prepare a solution of equal amounts white vinegar and water, which you will use to soak your item again for half an hour. After this second soaking, rinse your item for the final time. This process will leave your dye set.
