15 days agoEasy to knit, but a little tricky. “Easy” does not mean “beginner” on this website. Read directions carefully. I wrote out row-by-row directions. Used long, straight needles rather than circular and left stitches on needle when shaping belly. Used DPNs to cast on and simultaneously work two sets of 14 sts (M size) for belly ribbing needed for leg openings. When leg opening is complete, these sts can be worked back onto long needle. Picking up sts for leg edgings is tricky b/c opening is small. I used Forest self-striping yarn, but if you have leftover worsted, this striped sweater is a good way to use scraps. I did not sew collar/belly seam—left as cardigan for easy on/off. May attach Velcro strips for snugger fit. Recommend working leg edgings BEFORE/ sewing collar/belly seam—easier to work on flat piece/access wrong side than on closed up sweater. Puppy liked sweater and it kept her warm on 30 degree day.Helpful?Buffalo, New YorkSkill LevelEasy4 out of 5 stars.Easy to stitch
a year agoFairly easy to follow. I have never followed a pattern before but i was able to produce a lovely sweater with cookie curmble yarn. I wasn’t familiar with some of the terms but i looked them up and it was fine. Dod the medium size for my min pin.Yes, I recommend this product.

Start typing your question and we'll check if it was already asked and answered.1 - 2 of 2 QuestionsQ: Shape Belly, WS faving join sparate length of matching color of yarn to opposite end of needle to working yarn and using 2 needle cable cast on method cast on (18) breake yarn. I am unsure about this step. Also with the next 2 rows i am a little confused.
9 months ago1 AnswerA: Let's see if you can't get back on track with your Let's Go Rib Knit Dog Sweater. When the instructions state to: With WS facing, join separate lengths of the matching color of yarn to opposite ends of needle to working yarn and using 2 needle cable cast-on method, cast on 10 (14-18) sts. Break yarn. Next row: (RS). Return to working yarn and, using 2 needle cable cast-on method, cast on 10 (14-18) You add new stitches first to one side (the end where the yarn is not already attached). I'm including a video for a knitted cast-on, which is similar to the cable cast-on. https://www.yarnspirations.com/blogs/how-to/video-y-knit-cast-on?_pos=1&_psq=knitted+cast&_ss=e&_v=1.0 The idea is that you add stitches at the end of the row so they will be available when you work that row, and then you will use the same technique to add more stitches to the other end of the same row. The rest of the instructions read: [(P2. K2) 2 (3-4) times. P2] across these cast-on sts. (K2. P2) twice. K30 (38-48). (P2. K2) twice. [(P2. K2) 2 (3-4) times. P2] across final cast-on sts. 66 (82-100) sts. Next row: (K2. P2) 4 (5-6) times. K2. Purl to last 18 (22-26) sts. (K2. P2) 4 (5-6) times. K2. So, now you are working on ribbing across the new stitches that should match your existing ribbing, with a stockinette section (knit on the rs and purl on the ws) in the center. We hope this gives you the clarity you need to move on. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any additional questions. Happy Knitting!
9 months agoHelpful?Q: Let's Go Rib Knit Dog Sweater. I am done up to the "Divide for Leg Openings", which said to (P2, K2) 5 times, P1 (large) and put rem sts on a st holder, and followed the pattern on the 21 sts, back/forth. HOW do I rejoin with working yarn in mid row??
a year ago1 AnswerA: To rejoin the working yarn to the body stitches of the Red Heart Let’s Go Rib Knit Dog Sweater, you will cut the yarn (leaving a tail long enough to weave in) and join it to the stitches you left on a holder. You will now begin working the section of the chest between the legs. Happy knitting!
