    GAUGE IS BAD

The use of an L crochet hook is absurd. I have been crocheting for quite a while more than 50 years and the gauge on this product with an L hook is ridiculous. In order to get the gauge that is directed on this product I had to go down to a J hook. There's quite a bit of difference from an l to a j hook. I suggest somebody actually crochet this again with an L hook. I use the old methodology of crocheting and not the new one try that out

Thank you for your comments regarding the Red Heart Crochet Lap Throw. Every crocheter has a tension that is unique to that crocheter. The designer used the hooks listed in the pattern to get the gauge listed, which is why such hooks are suggested. However, we recommend that each crocheter use the hook necessary to match the gauge for themselves. We’re glad you were able to meet the gauge and crochet the throw yourself. We do hope you enjoy your new throw!

Q: What is the stitch multiple for this

    1 Answer

A: If you would like to customize the size of the Afghan, it's easy to do so. Work the foundation chain or cast-on stitches in multiples of 4 + 3 and adjust the number of repeats according to your desired size. You can find a detailed article explaining how to customize your Afghan size on yarnspirations.com: https://www.yarnspirations.com/en-ca/blogs/how-to/rh-20171010-the-math-behind-patterns-what-does-a-multiple-of-3-and-2-mean
