    Great 1st Intarsia Crochet Sweater

    This is my first intarsia crochet project and my second sweater. The instructions were straightforward and easy to follow and the pattern overall was much faster to work up than I expected (took about a week and a half working on it on-and-off). My biggest lesson learned from this is learning about garment ease. I usually wear a large (and large was recommended by looking up my measurements on the size chart), but I made a medium because it seemed like 10 inches is a lot of ease…it fits, but it’d definitely have fit more like the sample shown had I just gone with the recommended size.

    Easy to follow but weird arms

    Easy pattern to follow and gorgeous colours. The arms are an odd shape as they become baggy way too quickly. If I was to make again I would definitely increase the rows on the arm at a slower rate to get a more tapered fit. Only other thing is that I would maybe make the neck a little wider.

    Cute pattern!

    This was easy and fast to crochet. I did change it up a bit. Rather than crochet the collar as a separate piece I chained 8 while the yarn was still attached from the neck edge and just slipped in every stitch and crocheted in the back loop. Maybe a bit looser than the way the pattern suggested but a lot easier!
